The X-SD™ is an integrated muzzle device which is made up of 4 separate components. Going from chamber towards muzzle:

-Ported Barrel - The lifeblood of any gun, our barrels are machined, heat treated, and nitride coated all at the manufacturing facility. Featuring a 1:10 twist rate and length of 4.3", they're threaded to fit our Taper Adapter (NOT M18 THREADS) and designed to take a beating.

-Taper Adapter - This is what interfaces with the threads at the base of the barrel and houses the internal taper lock which seals the system.

Previously, this part was specific to each platform, however, we have made updates to allow the Scorpion/Nexus and AR9 models to use the same taper adapter. This change means that the ENTIRE shroud assembly is universal to these two platforms.

-Tube - This is the main body of the X-SD™. This part is pretty simple. We've honestly just been calling it "The Tube." This part is universal. It accepts any of the modules in either side. 

As of Nov. 25th 2025, all Tubes will be bonded to the Taper Adapter with Rocksett prior to being packaged for sale.

-Threaded Modules - Sometimes called "thread adapters", these include our standard Bravo/HUB module and the Alpha module. Both Alpha and HUB modules are included in each kit. 

Assembled, the X-SD™ can an overall length from the face of the receiver of 5.2" (HUB module) or 4.92" (Alpha module).
