The X-SD™ is an integrated muzzle device which is made up of 4 separate components. Going from chamber towards muzzle:
-Ported Barrel - The lifeblood of any gun, our barrels are machined, heat treated, and nitride coated all at the manufacturing facility. Featuring a 1:10 twist rate and length of 4.3", they're threaded to fit our Taper Adapter (NOT M18 THREADS) and designed to take a beating.
-Taper Adapter - This is what interfaces with the threads at the base of the barrel and houses the internal taper lock which seals the system.
Previously, this part was specific to each platform, however, we have made updates to allow the Scorpion/Nexus and AR9 models to use the same taper adapter. This change means that the ENTIRE shroud assembly is universal to these two platforms.
-Tube - This is the main body of the X-SD™. This part is pretty simple. We've honestly just been calling it "The Tube." This part is universal. It accepts any of the modules in either side.
As of Nov. 25th 2025, all Tubes will be bonded to the Taper Adapter with Rocksett prior to being packaged for sale.
-Threaded Modules - Sometimes called "thread adapters", these include our standard Bravo/HUB module and the Alpha module. Both Alpha and HUB modules are included in each kit.
Assembled, the X-SD™ can an overall length from the face of the receiver of 5.2" (HUB module) or 4.92" (Alpha module).

having fun
This is a great product Ive wonted a sd for a long time,, With a frt in this thig it rock and rolls it is so fun... for example my buddy came by and wonted to shot it but first he asked why I built this thing ,,, then he shot it .. I said look in the mirror ... huge smile ...he then said I understand now.. this thing so fun...you will not regret buying this...
best money I've ever spent on a part
I wasn't sure what to expect, I had never shot an SD setup before, and I also run an ARC fire so reliability of that is important to me. I'm pleased to say that this kit exceeded my expectations, and absolutely everything is running more than perfectly. It improved my gun in every way I care about. This is a must have for any AR9 builder who wants to shoot quietly, cheaply. Jacob was also incredibly responsive via email and answered my questions quickly. I can't wait to buy one of these kits for my kuna.
Novox SD AR9
This SD barrel works great. I'm using it with the alpha mount running a BDE9. Definitely makes it sound better than before. My setup has a Stern Defense Beretta mag adapter and bolt with a Kynshot hydraulic buffer and Whisper Spring Technology silent carbine spring. This combo runs Blazer 115/124, Ignan 147, and HSL 124 competition loads very well and all are subsonic. It also runs Monarch steel case, but that stuff is gassy. Love that it comes with alpha and bravo, giving the ability to run a seemingly endless amount of cans. The price is amazing for this kit.
X-SD WOW!
I had my X-SD professionally installed last week and just made it our the the range this morning. I had zeroed the PSA X-9 before installation without a can. I was pleasantly surprised with the results with the X-SD. Both 115 grain Wolf steel case and Ammo Inc 124 grain remained subsonic and surprisingly quiet with my Rugged Obsidian 9. The groups at 25 yds. were sub 3". I am a fan! Thank you!
Dead Air Mojave Adapter
I love this kit, but unfortunately they don't make an adapter for the Dead Air P series (yet). Barrel system was very easy to install. Made me laugh at how much quieter it was. Great product, I’m glad I was able to get one when they came in stock.
Great system
The system works great. I really enjoy the fact I can buy it online and attach it to any 9mm suppressor I have.
The tits
This thing is the tits, have it on a pcc sbr and is now my favorite weapon system. Paired with a yhm r9 this thing is hearing safe, great tone, not super gassy. Love it. Waiting for a mat9 model.
